Puppies
There is nothing like a new puppy…
Since we are a very small hobby and home based “kennel”, our breeding program is done very prudently producing only a few puppies per year. Our ultimate goal is to produce a quality puppy that is sound with an excellent temperament while being beautiful and intelligent.
An average litter ranges from 1 – 3 puppies. Tails are docked and dewclaws are removed at about 4 days of age. Their eyes do not open til after the 15th day. Our puppies are unavailable for viewing until well after 6 weeks of age. I do try to take pictures or videos of each litter.
Our puppies are vet checked and vaccinated and subsequently tattooed after 8 weeks of age depending on weight. I generally keep puppies til they are 10 weeks old. This extra time gives them additional confidence and the ability to adapt to their new home and family quickly. During this 2 weeks they are socialized with other dogs, crate trained, play outside and go for car rides.
Food
I have been making homemade food for my Toy Poodles for 14 years. I believe that diet and health are completely related. It is not difficult to prepare a wholesome meal for dogs and puppies economically. I add Essential Balance Oil for skin and coat and a natural supplement to ensure maximum nutrition. I feed the same chicken or beef that I would feed my own family – they are after all my own family. I want the best for my Toy Poodles, and in return I have healthy, happy dogs.
