There are 10 colours recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club for Poodles – Black – Brown – Blue – Silver – Silver Beige – Red – Apricot – Cafe au Lait – Cream & White. No other name or colour is accepted. “Parti” or “Phantom” colouring is not accepted either.

There are 3 distinct sizes in poodles – Standard – Miniature and Toy. The Toy size is the smallest of the breed. You may find a “breeder” advertising “Tea-Cup”, “Tiny’s” or “Tiny Toys”. These “sizes” are not recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club or the American Kennel Club.
